Today’s post is on how I get my teeth whiter and brighter naturally at home! I get a lot of questions on how I keep my teeth white and here is your answer!
If you want the fastest, cheapest way to whiten your teeth then you can use Plus White 5 Minute Speed Whitening Gel
I’ve been using this gel for years and it is SO effective. It’s also ridiculously cheap and you only leave it on for 5 minutes! It’s perfect for me since I don’t have a ton of time to spend on teeth whitening with a toddler on the loose!
All I do is squeeze the gel on a Q-tip and apply it to my top and bottom teeth. I leave it on for 5 min and then rinse with cold water as well as brush my teeth afterwards. That’s it! If I feel like I need to whiten more then I will do this once a day for a few days and then when I’ve reached my desired whiteness I’ll do it just once a month or so for maintenance.
If you want a more natural approach to whitening then here are two alternatives… Depending on what I have on hand at the time, I switch between the two.
- Baking Soda and lemon juice mix
- Coconut Oil and Turmeric
Baking Soda and Lemon juice mix
This combination really whitens and cleans BUT it can be corrosive/damaging to the tooth enamel so I only recommend this every once in a while to freshen up. Basically you take a spoon of baking soda and squeeze in some lemon. The mixture will bubble up then you can take a tooth brush and brush your teeth lightly and rinse.
Coconut Oil and Turmeric mix
Have you heard the term “Oil pulling” ? Well this is exactly what the coconut oil does when you leave it in your mouth. Not only does it draw out toxins, but it whitens your teeth too!
For this mixture, you will need a spoonful of coconut oil and a pinch of turmeric…just mix the two together and brush your teeth with it. You will want to leave the mixture on your teeth for 5-10 minutes then rinse and brush with your regular toothpaste. This mixture might stain your hands but not your teeth! There are a ton of health benefits of both ingredients in this mix which make it the ideal natural choice for teeth whitening….you can also do it as often as you like without worrying about damaging your teeth 🙂
I hope this post helped, let me know what you use to whiten your teeth!
